Beitul Maal

The Beitul Maal is run by the youth in our community and it is spearheaded by Dr Wafiq Gamieldien with the assistance of Hadjie Mansur Bassadien, Yaqub Panday, Ridaa Brink, Ismaeel Tofa, Wazeer Moosa and Uzayr Manuel. When requests for assistance are received these brothers will assess the need and authenticity of each case before any help is rendered. They also tap into the databases of other Islamic welfare organizations (i.e. Mubarak Fitra Fund and SANZAF) to prevent duplication of assistance. As inflation is rising and the growth rate in the country is declining, we are seeing an increase in the destitute with a concomitant increase for assistance in our area. Any assistance in cash or kind will be greatly appreciated. Please contact Dr Wafiq Gamileldien on 0832994403 or 0215924468, or Hadjie Mansur Bassadien on 0832419977 or 0215913493 if you are able to assist in any way.

The Weekly Soup Kitchen is run by the housewives madrassah class. This sub-structure operates from 34 Goodwood Street and it is headed up by Sister Subeera Mohamed. They prepare and make soup and or food every Thursday from donations that they receive and they work in close conjunction with the Beitul Maal. Please contact Sister Subeera Mohamed on 0832125257 if you can assist in any way.
