Wellness Centre

HOW IT BEGAN

In 2007 a Wellness Project was developed as a means of community health and awareness in association with the Quloobul Moe’mieneen Mosque, which operates under the auspices of the Goodwood Islamic Society (GIS). This project was initiated by Sheikh Ebrahiem Tofa, Imaam and spiritual leader of GIS, together with a few resident medical practitioners in the form of an annual Wellness Day. The project gained further traction in 2016 when Sheikh Tofa gathered a committee to grow his vision for a fully functional medical facility. In February 2016, the first official meeting was held for the now named Goodwood Islamic Society –Wellness Centre.
